UX Artifacts
Below are examples of tools that I have used during my course work that have been valuable for analyzing usability, but that don't belong to any one project.
Card Sorting
This card sort was done with a small group of co-workers as a team activity. I facilitated the test to understand how this exercise would work in the context of sorting items into limited groupings.

The report displayed here is a memo that discusses the purpose, participant information, methodology, results, discussion of participants verbal interaction and choices, and summary of findings.
Mental Models
This report was created to analyze how mental models of a given physical item or application can lead to its success or failure.
When a design, or in this case a set of designs, fail to be user-centered it can lead to multiple failures and frustration points. Here, I evaluated a physical, first-generation LIFX bulb and its accompanying mobile application to examine the difficulties of learning, remembering, and executing necessary hardware and software functions.
Signal Detection Analysis
This group presentation was recorded with audio after we had collaborated in our research, draft analysis, and presentation design.
We developed our presentation around our shared experiences, playing several team-based video games. We played these games to understand how humans perceive and interpret new information based on signals and noise within a collaborative gaming experience.
